National leader Heydar Aliyev devoted whole life to prosperity of Azerbaijani nation, says Ali Alizada

ISLAMABAD, DEC 13 - Ambassador of Azerbaijan Ali Alizada along with his embassy staff paid homage to the great leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev during a ceremony.

The ambassador also laid floral wreath and later offered dua. The staff of the embassy also joined the Ambassador in this ceremony and all of them offered dua for the national leader.

Talking about the national leader Ambassador Alizada said, National leader devoted his whole life to prosperity and well-being of our nations and they hold a special place in the history of our countries.

He said one of the main pillars of their policy for the progress of our societies and countries was the development of education and the correct assessment of its importance.

‘Heydar Aliyev paid great attention to the development of science and education and took important steps aimed at developing the scientific and education system of the country based on advanced principles.

The education reforms carried out by him in our country since gaining independence had global nature and covered all its aspects and are continued by present leadership of country as well.’

PAF C-130 with relief assistance arrives in Azerbaijan

ISLAMABAD, DEC 12: A special flight of Pakistan Air Force C-130 plane carrying relief assistance for Azerbaijan landed at the Heyder Aliyev International Airport, Baku.

The relief assistance containing essential items including large tents, blankets and ready to Eat meals has been sent by the Government of Pakistan for the Azerbaijan servicemen and other people working in the newly liberated areas to rehabilitate the returning IDPs.

The relief consignment was received by the Ambassador of Pakistan and the Defence Attache at the tramac and handed over to Colonel Rustam Gozalov representing ministry of Defence, International Military Cooperation Department in a simple but dignified ceremony.

Talking to the officials of the host government, Ambassador Bilal Hayee noted that the relief assistance sent by the Government of Pakistan is yet another testimony of Pakistans affection and care for the brotherly people of Azerbaijan.

Government and the people of Pakistan have always stood by Azerbaijan and are also willing to extend their full support during reconstruction in the liberated areas and for rehabilitation of the local people in their ancestral lands.

Azerbaijani officials thanked the Ambassador for the generous relief assistance provided by Pakistan at the start of the winter season.

Azerbaijan ambassador delivers lecture on Nagorno-Karabakh issue

RAWALPINDI, DEC 10 - Ambassador of Azerbaijan Ali Alizada delivered a lecture titled ‘”Settlement of international conflicts: Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, from diplomatic efforts to peace enforcement operation” dedicated to the death anniversary(December 12, 2003)of the National Leader of Azerbaijan.

The lecture was arranged by Rawalpindi Law College. The ambassador highlighted various aspects of the issue and how Azerbaijan armed forces valiantly fought and took its territory back from aggressor Armenia.

Later the staff of the college presented a shield to Ambassador Alizada and thanked him for gracing the occasion and sharing information with the participants.

Turkey, Azerbaijan to launch joint media platform

BAKU, DEC 10 - Ankara and Baku will sign a memorandum of understanding on a joint media platform to enhance collaboration in media and strengthen the friendly relations of the two countries, Turkey’s Communications Directorate announced, on Thursday, Trend reports citing Daily Sabah.

“Within the scope of the Joint Media Platform, information, experience and resources will be shared to establish a healthy media relations network infrastructure while the official media institutions of both countries will carry out joint works,” the statement said.

The platform, which will work toward fighting misinformation in the international arena and informing the international public opinion correctly, will establish a bridge between the two countries’ opinion leaders and representatives of various media outlets, while vocational training and exchange programs will also be created.

A detailed plan will be established within three months after the MoU takes effect.

The joint working commission will hold regular meetings in the two countries and will submit the detailed plan including the calendar and financing of the project to the authorities of both countries.

“We witnessed that black propaganda toward Turkey and Azerbaijan as the latter’s struggle to liberate the Armenian-occupied Nagorno-Karabakh gained pace. Therefore, we saw that increasing cooperation in the fields of media, communication and public diplomacy between Turkey and Azerbaijan was a vital issue,” Altun pointed out.
