CGSS role in enhancing regional connectivity lauded
ISLAMABAD, JAN 2021 - On 28th January 2021, CGSS Management led by Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS), Islamabad visited University of Peshawar and met Prof. Dr. Shabir Ahmad Khan, Director, Area Study Centre (Russia China & Central Asia), University of Peshawar.
During the detailed meeting, projects of mutual interests
were brought under consideration with special emphasis on joint ventures
related to Eurasian region.
Prof. Dr. Shabir Ahmed appreciated CGSS efforts to initiate
various projects for the enhancement of regional connectivity and improved
bilateral relations.
CGSS also launched ‘CGSS Ambassador Program’ for the
students of Peshawar. This program is specially designed for the skill
development and portfolio building of the students. Furthermore, CGSS will also
train and equip the students with the essentials of academic writing and
publish their research work on its website and newspapers.
During the meeting, it was also agreed that both parties will closely work to discover new avenues of collaborations between Pakistan and regional countries. Additionally, new academic projects to enhance Pakistan’s academic ties discussed.
